Recently, Mr. Fox had focused his efforts on China, whose film market has come to rival that of the United Stares. Projections of continued growth in that market will surely make it a top priority for his successor.

‘Richard Fox, executive vp international at Warner Bros., and the man responsible for expanding the studio’s impressive international production slate, is stepping down after 42 years with Warners.
Fox was key in expanding the studio’s local-language film production. Starting in 1999, Warner Bros. has produced, financed or distributed more than 600 local-language films in more than 20 countries, including the box-office hits Head Full of Honey in Germany, which grossed more than $66.5 million locally, and Les Bronzes 3 ($76.7 million in France alone).’
